Abortion Aspiration Procedure

The aspiration procedure is a less commonly used abortion technique that involves the use of a small plastic instrument that closely resembles a syringe.  Suction is applied through a thin tube that has been inserted through the cervix.

This procedure can only be used for pregnancies in the 1st Trimester.
